📢 OPERATIONS MANAGER (CLEANING)
📍SOMERSET WEST, WC
We are in search of an operations manager to manage daily cleaning operations and ensure that contractual SLAs are achieved. This position requires managing, training, and developing the operational team. Key tasks include workforce deployment, scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee relations management. The operations manager will conduct regular site inspections to ensure hygiene standards are upheld, perform safety audits, and take corrective actions as needed. Compliance with safety policies is critical, including the proper handling of industrial chemicals, correct usage of PPE, and hazard identification. The role also involves managing operational budgets, controlling costs, approving the procurement of supplies and equipment, and contributing to profit and loss (P&L) analysis. Establishing and maintaining client relationships is vital, as is addressing complaints in a timely manner and collaborating with sales to explore upselling opportunities.
📢 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- 3-5 years’ in operations management, with a strong background in commercial cleaning, hygiene, or facilities management.
- Experience of operations management within a retail environment an advantage
- Proficient knowledge of labour laws (e.g., the Basic Conditions of Employment Act) and statutory safety standards.
- Skills: Strong financial acumen, conflict resolution, proficiency in operational management software
- Microsoft MS Excel and MS Word
- Strong attention to detail
- Possession of a valid Code 08/EB driver’s license
