📢 HEAD OF ENGINEERING SUPPORT SYSTEMS (PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT)
📍WESTERN CAPE
This position guarantees standardization, compliance, and operational excellence across the product lifecycle while aiding in the successful achievement of business goals. To offer strategic leadership, governance, and oversight for engineering support functions within Product Management and Development. The individual in this role will create, implement, and consistently enhance systems and processes. Strategic Leadership: Directing engineering support functions and setting governance standards. Systems Management: Overseeing PLM, configuration control, and software compliance. Risk & Safety: Managing FMEA, product safety, and safety data sheets (SDS). Operational Excellence: Driving process improvement and standardisation across the product lifecycle
📢 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- BEng Degree (Chemical Engineering preferred).
- Additional Qualification in Systems Engineering and Project Management advantageous.
- Training in Aerospace and Defence Acquisition and Specification practices an advantage.
- 7+ years’ experience within an Aerospace and Defence engineering development environment.
- Institute of Configuration Management (CMII) certification or the ability to obtain certification within first year of appointment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Configuration Management principles across the complete product lifecycle.
- Sound understanding of Product Lifecycle Management systems and engineering governance.
- Experience in developing and implementing engineering systems, standards and procedures.
- Strong leadership and people management capability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism and customer focus.
