Our private lodge situated on a Big 5 game reserve, seeks your proven Lodge management and culinary skills. The position will encompass the Management of all Lodge departments, guest relations, preparing menus and meals as well as overseeing and inspecting the work of contractors, implementing, and managing inventory control, and ensuring best guest experience. Meal preparation. You will supervise daily staff activities, manage all operations, concentrate on ongoing maintenance, obtain quotes, and assign maintenance tasks to approved contractors. Budget and expense management is a crucial aspect of this role. Providing an exceptional and memorable guest experience is vital to this position.
🎯 ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Hospitality / management qualification
- 3-5 years Lodge management experience
- Proven Culinary skills – Experience in 3-5* meal preparation, menu planning & guest nutritional requirements
- Valid Driver’s license with PDP is essential
- Experience on Opera / Micros etc.
- Budget, cost control experience
- General maintenance skills & health and safety procedures
- Proven employment history & contactable references.
- Can work long hours and has exceptional communication skills
