TECHNICAL MANAGER – FREE STATE

 We are in search of an exceptional Leader and team player to oversee our workshop teams, guarantee superior service delivery, and promote continuous improvement. At least a decade of experience managing workshops is essential to the position.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified Mechanic (Tractor / Diesel) – Red Seal
• 5 + years’ experience as Mechanic specialising in Case
• 5-10 years of leadership experience in guiding and mentoring teams.
• 10 years’ experience in managing workshops.
• Strong financial acumen, including budget preparation, forecasting, and deviation management.
• Open to extensive travel to provide in-person support to all mechanization business units across 12 branches in Limpopo and Free State.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, encompassing management, mentoring, conflict resolution, and the development of long-term relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Duties will include but not limited to:

The management of workshops within the Company Group involves providing technical guidance to both internal and external stakeholders regarding a range of products and services. The candidate will lead various workshop teams, offering direction on policies and procedures while also mentoring subordinates. The Technical Manager is tasked with ensuring that apprentices receive comprehensive training, proper equipment, and effective mentorship to produce high-quality professionals for the market.

Oversees all claims related to sold products, including PIP. Responsible to minimize risks associated with quality, service, policies, and procedures within the workshops. Furthermore, ensure that mechanics are compensated accurately based on their hourly rates and hours worked, submitting payroll information promptly. Accountable for reporting on the financial performance of the workshops, preparing budgets, managing deviations, identifying trends, and mitigating risks through the analysis of financial reports.
