TECHNICAL ADVISOR – ANIMAL FEEDS
NORTH WEST PROVINCE
Highly motivated individual with an appetite for sales and building external sales and growth. Your work will entail visiting current and prospective clients to assess their needs or promote products. Establish strong relationships and Interact with customers to propose feed solutions with all external customers. Instil confidence by demonstrating inherent technical expertise in feed. Responsible for the marketing and sales of both bagged and bulk feed products. Exhibit a high level of analytical thinking to address complex issues
ESSENTIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Agricultural Qualification in Animal Science or related qualification
- 3-5 years of related sales experience in the feed industry or Agri/livestock industry
- Valid SA driver’s license and willing to travel
- Proven experience in animal feed industry
- Customer service oriented and can work independently.
- Highly motivated individual with an appetite for sales and building external sales and growth.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Can communicate English – Afrikaans an advantage
- Assertive, professional and presentable
JOB DESCRIPTION INCLUDES:
- Establish strong relationships with all external customers.
- Interact with customers to propose feed solutions and instil confidence by demonstrating inherent technical expertise in feed.
- Responsible for the marketing and sales of both bagged and bulk feed products.
- Exhibit a high level of analytical thinking to address complex issues.
- These issues may pertain to marketing, sales, or farm-related challenges.
- Provide market intelligence to assist the executive team in making informed decisions regarding marketing, strategy, and pricing.
- Advise customers on the most effective feed solutions for their businesses.
- Engage extensively with all departments within the Business Unit as well as with departments across the supply chain, both in the factory and within the Animal Feed Business Unit.
- Offer clients strategic consulting services regarding Animal Feeds Products.
- This includes gathering, analysing, and interpreting marketing and sales data.
- Additionally, visiting current and prospective clients to assess their needs or promote products is essential.
- Develop innovative regional sales strategies aimed at achieving sales targets.
