BRANCH MANAGER – SHIPS’ AGENCY (CAPE TOWN, WESTERN CAPE)

We are seeking a strong leader with extensive knowledge and proven work experience in Commercial and Operations within the SHIPS AGENCY and REEFER industries. Only candidates with a minimum 10 -15 years’ relevant management and industry experience need apply. 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

• Matric, relevant qualifications and experience as detailed.
• Valid SA driver’s license and own reliable vehicle is essential to the role
• Sound experience being responsible for engaging and managing stakeholders, both internal and external. An entrepreneurial mindset to drive growth and profitability.
• Extensive operational expertise in both import and export freight management.
• Min 8 years proven SHIPS AGENCY industry experience – ESSENTIAL
• 10 – 15 years’ management level experience essential
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
• Proven work experience in handling reefer cargo and associated complexities.
• A strong background in shipping and logistics and will be responsible for ensuring the continued growth of the Company.
• Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS WILL INCLUDE (not limited to):

1. Refrigerated Cargo responsibilities
2. Operational Excellence
3. Customer Relations including CRM management, understanding of their specific needs, including temperature-sensitive logistics requirements and time-critical deliveries and client and stakeholders, understanding customer requirements including temperature-sensitive logistics requirements and time-critical deliveries etc.
4. Marketing and Reporting – import, export, and operational activities at the branch level plus performance reporting
5. Branch management and Team leadership
